So what do you eat during an expedition between the poles?
Well, first of all you have to focus to eat right. There is a big possibility to get sick if you eat food that has not been washed first or been in the sun to long.
The other problem is that you can not eat to much if you are going to bike for a couple of hours direct after breakfast. Its also important to eat different kind of food; fruit, meat, fish and vegetables. Not only rice or only power bars.
Every country has its on special diet. Mexico was spicy food and tacos, Central America gave us rice and meat. USA offered Fats food and Canada steak and strange food in cans.
North Pole is a different story. On an expedition on the ice you have to eat a lot. I lost 17 kilos on the North Pole and 21 kilos on Everest, so that means that you have to eat anything you can find.
Now South Pole is getting closer and I have learned a lot from North Pole and what I missed. So now lets see how many kilos I will lose this time.
Today melon is on the menu….
